Healthcare workers within the hospital have the unique task of relocating often critically ill patients throughout the hospital based on patient needs. Patients often require transport from unit to unit, unit to Imaging Department or Surgical Services while remaining on their in-patient bed. The current accepted common-practice is to weave along high-touch handrails in the immediate patient care environment, hang from IV poles or often laid on the linens next to the patient.
